ROBERT HABERMANN: HIS WAY – The Life and Songs Of Frank Sinatra

Discovered by legendary American singer Margaret Whiting, Robert Habermann was voted Best International Performer by the prestigious Manhattan Association of Cabarets of New York,(MAC) resulting in several major tours. He has performed with Margaret Whiting, Kay Starr, Steve Ross, Rosemary Squires and the late Loonis McGlohan who wrote songs for Mr. Sinatra.
Robert was the first major British singer to perform an entire concert celebrating Frank Sinatra’s life. This was for Sinatra’s 80th Birthday at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in 1995.
In his show “His Way – The Songs and Life Of Frank Sinatra” Robert Habermann tells the remarkable story of Ol’ Blue Eyes – his ‘rise and fall and rise’ – From band singer with Tommy Dorsey, to 1940’s ‘pop idol’, – his fall from popularity in the late forties , swinging his way through the 1950’s, and recording some of 20th Century most popular songs and albums, – to starting his own record label “Reprise” and becoming a world icon

Award winning singer Robert Habermann performs shows about the great writers and singers from The Great American Songbook. Robert’s shows come under the heading under the banner “Robert Habermann’s Great American Songbook Series”, where he devotes an entire show to either a singer or writer, looking at their careers, telling their life stories filled with loads of anecdotes and singing their songs.
Robert also loves to sing with big bands. He was the lead singer for the String of Pearls Big Band ( 2005- 2011) sings with the Phoenix Big Band. Later in 2015, he will be singing some the great original arrangements of songs from the 20th Century at a concert featuring Members of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra at The Barrington Centre, Ferndown Dorset on Sunday 22nd November 2015.
Robert has also performed at Purcell Room, London’s South Bank Centre, Royal Albert Hall, London Palladium, London’s Pizza On The Park, The Marlowe Theatre, Epsom Playhouse and Camberley Theatre and many other venues in the UK
